Going Beyond Home Care, VHS offers a variety of in-home supportive care services to help our clients maintain the dignity and independence everyone deserves. From housekeeping to personal care, the purpose of home care is to promote, maintain, and restore the health of our clients while minimizing the effects of an illness, loneliness, or disability. Home Care Services are tailored to the individual needs of the client and their family.

Supervised by Registered Nurses, our Certified Home Health Aides are licensed under the Board of Nursing and follow a Plan of Care developed by the nurse and the family. The Plan of Care is reevaluated every 60 days and nurses check in with the client at least once every 30 days to make sure the client and family are satisfied with their service.

Signature Home Care

Signature Home Care is an all-inclusive service that provides a variety of personal care tasks that go beyond our Companion and Housekeeping Services. This comprehensive service is centered on the personal and necessary basic human needs and assists clients with their activities of daily life. Signature Home Care is considered an extended care program for people with a chronic or acute health condition; including but not limited to post-surgery recovery, frailty, stroke, Alzheimer’s disease, heart problems and other circumstances that restricts the recipient’s ability to care for themselves. Services are available for clients of all ages.

This service is for people who can attend to their personal needs, but find comfort in having someone around or doing household chores that are difficult to maintain.

Philips Lifeline Medical Alert Service

Fall statistics among senior adults are unsettling: one out of three older adults (those aged 65 or older) falls each year and many experience lacerations, bone fractures, and head trauma as a result. Without immediate help, these elderly individuals may also suffer prolonged pain, emotional distress, or secondary medical problems like dehydration, pneumonia, renal failure, or pressure ulcers. The good news is that Lifeline can help your loved one get access to care, even when you can't be there.
